Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Awful! I will only go there again to see if it was really bad pizza or they were just having a bad day. Way too much toppings piled on and the grease sogged up my crust, they obviously don't know that less means more. People that worked there were super friendly though. They said they were supposed to be espiritu's competition. Espiritu has absolutely no worries. I won't even give that greasy pie to my dogs.

I've ordered two pizzas for delivery now. The first time the delivery took 30 minutes longer than was stated. I was told by my delivery driver that she had become lost (although I left both my cell phone & detailed directions). Driver claimed she called twice but both times it went to voice mail. This was definitely not true as I had been online on my phone the entire time. However, the pizza was delicious as was the 1/2 salad. Thought I would give it one more try. Tonight I was told it would be 45 minutes. At an hour I called the store and was told my driver was 5 minutes away. Not quite. 10 minutes later the driver showed up & told me they were out of the dessert I ordered so he brought me something else instead. Why didn't he call and ask me. I don't appreciate paying so much for mediocre at best cheesecake. The last straw was that after taking an hour and ten minutes to arrive my pizza was barely warm. So, I'm posting this as my pizza is heating up in the oven. I called the store to complain & neither manager offered even an apology much less any recompense. I won't be ordering from Pizza 9 again. Too bad though, they do make good pizza.

We ordered a deep dish cheese pizza to go because we are from Taos. When we got home we preheated our oven to 450 and wanted up the for about 20 minutes. The cheese was good, quality cheese with great flavor, the sauce was thick and flavorful and the crust was crunchy and buttery. We really loved this pizza and we will definitely return when we are in Santa Fe.

I always order delivery from pizza 9 and the food always arrives before the expected time and hot and fresh. The drivers are always courteous and it feels better to order from them than a major national chain. The pizza is consistently rich and the meats and cheeses are great quality.

I'm visiting Santa Fe on business this weekend and was hungry from traveling all morning. I looked this place up and was happy they delivered. My order came in about 30 minutes. The green chili on the pizza was the best part of my order. I was unfortunately disappointed with over cooked evvvvverything. The top of the pie was that deep brown burned cheese look and the bread that came with the spaghetti was wayyyy over done too! Total bummer. I ate it to stave off a raging headache that was brewing. A cool little pizza kitchen like this... yeah, you can do BETTER!

Save your money. Horrible wings, skimpy sandwiches, bleh pizza. Honestly not worth anyone's time.

This was our first visit. The pizza was great with enough cheese that anywhere else would have cost extra. The personnel were helpful and friendly. If we lived in Santa Fe we would visit often.

TL;DR great pizza, mediocre wings. I'm torn as to which style of pizza I like better: the deep dish or the thin crust. The deep dish is lightly buttery and while doughy, still crispy, like a good crust should be. But the thin crust is flaky and flavorful, and also crispy. I guess I'll just have to keep trying both every order until I figure out which is better. Both are loaded with toppings and just enough cheese and sauce. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The wings - on the other hand - were bland, far too mild, and greasy. I doubt I'll be trying them again. Overall I highly recommend the pizza. Best pizza I've had since I returned to Santa Fe. But don't get the wings.

I got the Chicago style beef calzone and the BBQ wings, for delivery. I love the calzone, but I'm pretty happy I ordered an extra side of au jus. If I didn't have it, the calzone crust would be way too much dry. The boneless wings were a disappointment, soggy and obviously a cheap fried afterthought. I would've given another star, but the delivery guy had to be handholded via phone for ten minutes while I stood waving my arms and calling out when I gave specific directions -- apartment number, #3 Upstairs. I got my order, and I was happy until I realized that it was missing the extra side of blue cheese dressing that I had ordered. I called and talked to the same girl I took the order with, and she offered to have the driver come back with the dressing, but I said it was cool because I didn't get charged for it. I suppose this is a lesson: always check your order.

I got excited when I saw that this place sold Chicago-style pizza. We decided to give it a try. I called and ordered delivery. I was told that they have deep dish, stuffed crust or thin crust pizza. I ordered the stuffed crust thinking that I was ordering Chicago-style stuffed pizza which has crust on the bottom and top and the ingredients stuffed inside then the sauce is spread on top of the top layer of crust. What we got was stuffed crust pizza like the stuff I have seen in commercials for Pizza Hut. The edge of the crust had cheese stuffed in it. It tasted okay, not great, and was not Chicago style. I guess the deep dish is the only Chicago-style pizza that they have although I asked if their crust is corn meal and was told no. Chicago-style pizza has corn meal crust.

Pizza's good but being able to eat the "salad" was real hard without a FORK! We specifically asked for a fork was told in sack (why she didnt look before he left I dont know) but again no FORK. Didnt listen very well

I have no clue what the food is like here. Maybe it's delicious or maybe it's like 80% of the pizza in Santa Fe. They had peppered the mailboxes in my neighborhood with "Summer Specials" coupons for $19.99. I called and after being put on hold a couple of times I was told I had to order $25 or more. It's just me and the boy tonight and I have no use for that much leftover food, assuming it's good enough to save. I guess I'll consider this a possibility for a time when I am not inside of my house holding a coupon that was delivered to said dwelling on a rainy night with a hungry eight-year-old. Nice intro.

We had a deluxe pizza and an order of wings. The food was served promptly and was delicious. The crust was crisp with a great sauce and delicious meats and veggies. The wings were served hot and a little spivey. The place is clean and has a warm feel. The help was friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!

This pizza is one of the better pizzas available in Santa Fe at this time.

OK, I had a little trepidation trying this place out, but I'm relatively pleased. Forst off, we ordered the combination deep dish and were pleasantly surprised. The crust was great, and the deep dish style seemed pretty authentic... It gave me pleasant flashbacks of how I remember Godfather's Pizza back in the 1980's, but don't use that as a guide since that was 30 years ago, and I haven't eaten at that chain in about the same time frame... We also ordered the buffalo wings and I thought they were slightly undercooked, but I rarely eat buffalo wings. My guest thought they were great. We also ordered the chicken sandwich which looked good, but we decided to replace the white bread bun with whole wheat buns... Personal choice. No free WiFi, so Pizza 9 gets dinged a star. Finally, the food at Pizza 9 is WAY better than what was there before, which was an asian food place that was kinda nasty. I'll probably come back sometime.

The pizza is average - nothing too exciting, but not bad either. However, the price is good! Only $5.49 for an individual 7" pizza with a soft drink.
